Persian Literature: The Prince of Persia

 The Prince of Persia

While searching for a literary piece about the Prince of Persia, I have not found any copy of a book or a story from the book about this. But, I was able to search for information that the movie "The Prince of Persia," is related to the original literary piece written.

The story begins with the prince losing his family and kingdom after an evil witch destroyed it, leaving the prince as the only survivor of his clan. Years pass, the prince grows up to be a thief in an unspecified city, the city wherein the Sultan's daughter fall for him. The Sultan has an assistant and advisor name Jaffar who attempts to take control of the kingdom, and he locked up the Princess in a tower and ordering her to marry him, to which the Princess refuse. On the other hand, the Prince was imprisoned in the dungeon but he was able to free himself. The Prince then kill Jaffar and saves the Princess.

The theme of the story are about love and evil. The main characters are the Prince, the Princess, Jaffar, the Sultan, and the witch. The setting of the story was unspecified but it happens in a certain kingdom. The conflict was man versus man because it there is a fight between Jaffar and the Prince.

What I learned from the story is that Love is more powerful than evil. And that love will always prevail no matter what evil we face. I also learned that having selfish ambition could destroy a person because being selfish is not always a good thing. I also learned that in a relationship we should learn to trust our partner and believe them, because with love comes trust.
